This year I have found an endless resource of images. Just when I think I can’t get inspired by anything, when the work of parenting small children has taken it’s toll, I was shown  a beautiful book that has so much symbolism. Most of my new work has images taken from the Song of Solomon. This poetic book of the Bible has often been misunderstood, but for my purposes I found every meaning. I decided to keep the images purely representational as I set out on this new body of work. As I read the first chapters over and over I found more and more things to capture. And as I dwell in the exciting promises that this book shows us, I see in reality the doves that congregate in my neighborhood. In my weakness for them I let them nest in my porch so I could observe them. I witnessed two nests of baby doves be born and fly away. Enjoy this visual journey with me, and take in the depth of what these images may mean to you.
